The Project—as a model of how to work—reigns the world. Almost anywhere you look, that working mode is preferred. It’s about finite periods of labor with goals, milestones and deadlines. Even daily operations have moved to it, to achieve a greater sense of urgency. To content, however, there’s a flipside. Content is trapped inside projects and becomes hard to reuse across projects—or across the departments that created those projects. Dividing content into core versus project content can help make it become reusable across projects, channels and departments. In this workshop, we will look at the advantages of differentiating between core business content from project-focused content—and how to work smarter with both.
