Storytelling has probably become the most overused buzzword in our industry. That said, there are lots of new aspects to the topic which deserve a closer look and candid discussion. Because not every story is a a story worth telling, and to be frank, not every „story“ is a story in the first place. So how can we as professional communicators make sure that what we tell is relevant and interesting to the „outside world“ as well as to the – evermore important – internal stakeholders? What are the ingredients of a story that really works, and what can we do to reach the maximum effect? And why are stories the undisputed number 1 content in our world?
In this workshop, we will discuss the five elements of a good story and we will try out a couple of fun creative techniques on how to develop such stories in a team. We will discuss the Do´s and Dont´s of memorable and emotional storytelling, and we will have a closer look on how to use social media, online video, mobile applications, blogs, news releases and viral marketing to reach our audiences directly.
